The Barachois Inn

The award-winning Barachois Inn is a family owned business which has been welcoming visitors from North America and abroad for more than 30 years. Recognized as a Designated Heritage Place in May 2011, the Barachois (pronounced Bara-a-shaw) is in the Canadian Register of
Historic Places.

At the Barachois Inn, your vacation is our priority; our reputation for personalized service and our commitment to quality, our 5 Star luxury accommodations; our historic locale bordering on Rustico Bay and the Prince Edward Island National Park with its sandy beaches, all contribute to a vacation you won=t soon forget.

The Inn consists of two main houses, the Gallant House built in 1880 offers Traditional Victorian rooms and the MacDonald House, a newer house, built in the same architectural style as the MacDonald House, offers large luxurious suites. The two houses together provide guests with a choice of eight beautiful accommodation units with scenic vistas of the Island’s north shore’s winding waterways and the Inn’s Victorian garden.

A full hot breakfast, prepared by Chef Gary MacDonald, is served daily in the dining room offering guests a choice of seasonal breakfasts and refreshments. We also can provide a private dining experience and cater to small intimate weddings at the romantic Barachois Inn.
